Privacy Policy

Seshlo is built around privacy. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. This policy explains exactly what happens — and what doesn't happen — with your data.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect, transmit, share, or sell any of the following:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
• Account credentials (we don't have accounts)
• Location data
• Device identifiers (advertising ID, IDFA, device fingerprint)
• Contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, or camera data
• Usage analytics or crash reports
• IP addresses or network identifiers

Seshlo has no servers, no backend, and no analytics provider. Nothing about you or your sessions leaves your device.

Information stored on your device

Seshlo stores the following locally on your device using your operating system's secure app storage:

• Your saved bookmark names and durations
• A list of your recent session durations (durations only — no timestamps, no activity content)
• Your last-used settings (theme preference, sound toggle, visual cue toggle, alert preferences)
• The state of any currently-running session, so the timer can survive an app restart

This data is sandboxed to the Seshlo app and is removed automatically when you uninstall the app.

Notifications

Seshlo schedules local notifications to alert you when a session is nearly finished (10-minute and 1-minute warnings) and when it completes. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely by your device. They never pass through any server or third party.

On first session start, Seshlo will ask for permission to send notifications. If you decline, the app still works fully — you simply won't receive alerts when it is in the background.

On iOS, Seshlo uses the "Time Sensitive" notification level for these alerts so that the completion notification reaches you even when Focus mode is active. You can change this in your iOS Settings at any time.

Sound

The pip sounds at the end of a session are short audio files bundled with the app. They are played by your device's audio system. No audio is recorded, captured, or transmitted.

Children's privacy

Seshlo does not knowingly collect any information from any user, including children under 13. Because no data is collected at all, the app is suitable for all ages.

Third-party services

Seshlo uses no third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, tracking, attribution, or remote configuration. The only third-party libraries included are open-source UI and platform utilities that run entirely on your device (React Native, Expo modules). None of them transmit your data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date above will be refreshed. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes.
